Fused silica window
Mok Optics offers a comprehensive range of UV Fused Silica Windows and substrates, available in both custom-made configurations and standard stock sizes. UV Fused Silica is renowned for its exceptional transparency across a broad spectrum, from the ultraviolet (UV) range at 180 nm to the infrared (IR) range extending beyond 2.3 microns. This material is characterized by its high OH content, which peaks at 2.7 microns, slightly limiting its IR transmission to about 2.20 microns. For applications requiring extended IR transmission, we provide an infrared grade of quartz that supports transmission up to 3 microns and typically features an OH value of around 10 ppm.
UV Fused Silica is particularly valued for its resistance to chemicals and high radiation environments, making it a reliable choice for a variety of demanding applications. Compared to Fused Quartz, UV Fused Silica boasts higher purity and can withstand temperatures exceeding 1000°C, offering superior resistance to thermal shocks. These properties make it ideal for use in environments where durability and reliability are crucial.
We supply several grades of UV Fused Silica tailored to meet diverse application needs. Our offerings range from cost-effective solutions for commercial applications to high-precision optical components. These include spectroscopic and instrument windows, general optical substrates, and high-precision pressure windows designed for the most demanding environments. Additionally, our precision optical flats are available with optional multi-layer anti-reflective (AR) coatings, enhancing their performance in specific optical systems.
Whether you require standard products or custom solutions, Mok Optics is equipped to meet your needs with high-quality UV Fused Silica components that deliver exceptional performance in a wide range of optical applications.
